Lightweight with nice features
This mower is a good option for persons like me who have less than average mobility and strength. It was very easy to assemble, and by far the easiest mower to start and move around than any previous ones I have owned. The grass box is also easy to handle but fills up rapidly - recommend keeping a wheelbarrow nearby to empty the clippings into. Battery charge lasts for at least 30 min. Recommend light use only - and clear the area to be mowed of impediments (e.g. stones, twigs, etc.) first. I hope it lasts a few years.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cuts Well But With a Major Design Defect
Cuts, mulches, and bags grass beautifully. Small, very light, and well designed. BUT... a HUGE defect with the charging supply - it must be unplugged immediately after charging to avoid battery damage, which completes at any point in a 4 hour time range. So you have to babysit the stupid charger until the red light turns green. That's inconvenient for anyone who wants to put it away and do other things. The manual is very vague and SunJoe's phone customer support is anemic at best. A fair deal with the open box pricing here (mine appeared new), but I'd never pay the $150+ for a new one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good Little Mower, Lightweight and Easy to Start and Push

So far so good for this small mower
I have a large lawn so this mower was intended only for small areas that a regular mower is not ideal for. As I sharpened the blades first (it was supposedly "refurbished" but that obviously did not include sharpening the blades), it cuts even thick grass easily. As it is VERY light it is easily maneuverable and easy to carry and stow. I am pleased. if it Lasts it will be my favorite mower EVER!
i gave it 4 stars because i have only used for 3 mowings so far, but it is quiet, easy to navigate, turns on a dime, the only downside so far is that i have not found anyplace that sells the side shooter that shoots cut grass out the side of the lawn mower, & it won't start with out the bag on it without the side shooter mulcher. Small yard mower fits the bill
Bought this to do trim mowing where my riding mower wouldn't fit, but too big for string trimmer. So far, works perfect. No gas/oil, light, easy to use, comes with side discharge and small bagger. Side discharge is flush on both sides -nice. Cons - battery is internal to unit instead of being removable and the whole mower has to be on charger. Not sure if internal battery could be replaced. Also means if you run out of juice you can't swap in a fresh battery, you have to recharge. Also annoying, you can't leave on charger. You could damage battery so you have to remember to stop charging after about 4 hours. Obviously for small mowing jobs, but so far, I like it. Cordless Battery Operated Lawn Mower Lightweight Cuts Great!
This is a great invention for those who need a small, lightweight lawnmower and no convenient electrical outlet nor wants the annoyance of using gas. We have a nice size yard that we hire someone to keep it cut however there is an area that grows a lot faster than the rest so we have to pay for more cuts than we really need due to that. Now, I cut that section when it needs it and saves complete lawn cut cost as often! I am 73 yr old lady and put it together myself. Highly recommend it if you need something like this.. Good small mower
I bought this mower for trimming and mowing a bank. Its lightweight, easy to handle, quiet, has a good battery life and easy to operate. A grass catcher is included, which I didn't need. Be aware of two things I consider a con. First, this mower has a non replaceable battery and second, the charger doesn't turn off once the battery is charged. Since the charger doesn't turn off you will need to go unplug it/check it after about 3 hours otherwise this will shorten the life of the battery. In the event that you don't use the included grass catcher, you will need to figure out how to keep the rear discharge door slightly open or purchase the optional discharge chute.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
