Who really enjoys spending hundreds of dollars a year on ink? NOT ME!!! I think it is a scam and a rip off. Yes, the product is good and you can't knock the quality. But the price is something I have ALWAYS had trouble swallowing. I can't ever buy ink without thinking I am being screwed. Of course they practically give you the printer...they know they will make hundreds...if not thousands of dollars off the ink. Did you know that if this ink were sold by the gallon, it would cost you $2,700 per gallon!!!! Really??? Nope...it is not a good value. It's a horrible value. But it's one we have to endure if we want to have a hard copy.

I've had a lot of trouble with OEM Epson ink purchased on eBay, especially their 127 yellow ink cartridges. They only work for a short time; before they're even half empty the printer stops and displays a message saying "the printer does not recognize the ink cartridge - try taking it out and re-inserting it" but that never works. I always have to make a trip to Sam's Club or Office Max to buy another one. Then I take the bad one back to the store and exchange it because it's too much trouble to send it back to eBay. This is very annoying because I've bought off-brand ink for 1/10 the cost, and it never malfunctions - only the genuine Epson products are not recognized by Epson, yet Epson threatens to void your warranty unless you stick with their faulty products.

Even though the OEM (Epson) cartridges are more expensive than the after-market knock-off cartridges, I've had too made knock-offs fail or cause other problems, so I've stopped buying them altogether. I simply look for the best prices I can find on the genuine Epson brand, and I always look for the XL cartridges for better value.

Tried two cheaper carrtridges and both were not recognized and did not work. The higher cost Epson worked perfectly. This means one of two things, Epson designs oem failure into their software not allowing a good number of non Epson brands to work, or the cheaper cartridges both had true defects. Because I could not be sure, I witheld one star.

The printer indicated that the ink is remanufactured . Some of the copies do not print fully. Yes, I cleaned the heads. YES , I realigned the cartridges'. It helped , but why should I have to do all of this to begin with?

Genuine Epson 127 Extra high capacity ink is excellent quality ink. Although it is expensive, in the long run it is worth buying because keeping the same factory ink in the Epson printer increases the chances that the printhead will continue functioning properly. This ink also produces great printing results.

They don't come in a box but they look authentic. The color I had to replace works fine.

Great price for all three colors. Even though not in original box, they work well and are not "knock-offs".
