The string gauge .012-.053 is light enough to be easy on the fingers but thick enough to get good grip on them. They are bright sounding about a week in but it will probably loose that brightness a little which is expected. The sound is nothing special but it's notably easy to play it loud. I put them on parlor guitar which is a smaller acoustic guitar size but these strings can get more projection from the small instrument.

Put these strings on, and the sound was not good, to tinny and caused a fret buzz right away. Action on guitar was spot on, previous strings caused no buzz. But these did, after a couple of days, took them off, put on another brand of strings, clear tone and no buzz. Usually had luck with daddario but will not use them again. Do not recommend these at all.

I have used many different brands of strings . these 80/20 bronze are by far the longest lasting with new sound strings iv'e ever used.....I perform weekly for 4 to 5 hours a night and after a month the strings still sound great....thanks

Good strings, good price. They are a little lighter and brighter than the Martin medium gauge which I often use. I use these on my 40 year old Yamaha, which has a somewhat higher action than the Ovation. These make it easier to do barre chords, and the sound is very good.

These guitar strings were easy to install, sound fine on my acoustic guitar, appear to be good quality.
