Pretty easy to set up but the batteries break the positive connections lose in the window/door sensors. There very delicate. Also had ti use a small piece of aluminum foil to get a good connection on the motion sensor. The only other bad is the hub has a built in siren you cant use or access without paying the monthly fee how lame is that. Good side is easy to connect and figure out after a little time and compatible with lots of things. Oh and make sure you order the rare batteries off the Internet because there almost 7 bucks at a local Walgreens each! :/

I use the smartthings kit with Stringify and Philips Hue/google home to trigger lights when doors are opened, to alert me when doors are opened etc. The smartthings hub should not be the central control as it is limited. However these sensors are useful when used in conjunction with other smart home tools such as stringify.

V2 is superior to V3 in my opinion. :) V3 has WIFI, but it is debatable as to whether wired is better. V2 has battery backup V2 has more USB. Although I dont know what use that is.
