I was shocked to see that all the ridges for all the different tools were only wood. Shouldn’t be an issue but I assumed they were leather covered since it is a strop after all. My compound seemed to be Dried out. Maybe old inventory. I just heated it up over a candle before I applied it so it didn’t powder up all over and fall apart. That worked fine.

very low quality...... wood block angles do NOT mach up with my flexcut carving gouges. cheap leather strop. exspected a lot more form Flexcut, love there gouges. like the sharpening compound all so, just use it on an other piece of leather.

Does what it's supposed to do. However, it would be nice if all the sections were covered in leather. The reddish color portions appear to be a type of wood that is painted red/brown. Kind of cheapy looking and not high quality. I have my doubts on how long it will last. But...it does work well so far.
