It is a fabulous flute, new and shiny. It sounds great when I use it in band, and I have received compliments from my band teachers. YAMAHA is an expensive brand but they produce great flutes, and this one is great to get when the original price can cost up to 1300 dollars. I would recommend this flute if you want to learn to play the flute and use it for years instead of buying a cheap one. Overall it is 10/10.

I'm a beginner at the flute and find the Yamaha YFL-222 a really nice quality flute. It's easy to play, has good sound and seems lighter than other flutes I've used. I'm very happy with it.

As a beginner, I am on a 1/10 scale, playing my ok 100-dollar-high school flute. But decided to get serious about it, so I bought this beautiful Yamaha flute. Boy, what a difference!!!! I even sound like I am good at it! So I am a happy customer. On a side note, part of the required maintance is to apply key oil on key, but I am not sure if I should purchase oil separately.

This is the Yamaha model my granddaughter requested. Hope it brings her many years of making beautiful music.

So far, the music teacher said it was okay for my grandson to use. I always worry about buying things on line for fear it will be junk.
