I expected this module (according the product page) will work with 5V input and up to 20mA of output current. The reality was different. My input voltage was 5V and consumption of my NIXIE board is 12mA and this module was able to supply the output voltage for ~3min then overheated and stopped to work. Both my modules exhibited the same behavior. I contacted the vendor for explanation of this behavior. First I was accused that I just want my money back and that is the reason I'm saying it isn't working for me. When I ensured him I need just know the current limits or some other technical details of the board so I can find it in datasheets (the name of used IC is scratched out), then I was accused I want just to 'plagiarize' the module and produce it by myself. Never got any info about current limits. I'm microelectronics engineer and I have no problem to design my own board, I bought this one to my son so he can speed up the building of his NIXIE clock. This supply is an awesome piece of tech for anyone who builds Nixie/HV circuits! It is very small (about the size of a quarter) and packs a punch! Noise and ripple are both surprisingly low. It doesn't produce any sound either. Awesome for breadboarding and it's small size make it great for building in small enclosures. For the price it really can't be beat.
