I bought this used printer, to replace my older HP, which finally bit the bullet after a lightning strike during a thunderstorm. This unit features built-in duplexing, and accommodates an extra paper tray. No problems or issues so far, and I don't expect any.

It's exactly as represented. An older used laser printer with low page count, as expected works fine but has some signs of wear & an extraneous sticker.

You might ask why I would give it a high rating for print quality, features and value for money, if I only give it one star overall. I do that out of fairness. In all fairness, WHEN the printer works as it should, it is all that and more. However, technology has moved on, but this model is no longer supported by the new technology, rendering it worthless to anyone with Win 7 or higher. This is a wonderful printer, IF you are working with XP. When I was using XP, I would have given it 5 stars all the way, but if you anticipate an upgrade to Win 7 or higher, look out for impending doom for this printer, and one should always anticipate a possible computer failure which necessitates an upgrade because that is the name of the game. I had one of these printers that lasted about 6 years, and I used it heavy-duty. It was a real work-horse, and I give it full credit, and if you are using XP, go for it; it will really serve you well -- until you upgrade to Win 7. This is not a plug and play printer. If you change it out, even with the same exact model, you have to run the software program again to make it work, but the software will not work with Win 7. I discovered that when I updated to Win 7, 64 bit. It took days to find a driver that would work with that system, and everything was fine until the printer needed to be repaired because I could not get rid of vertical streaks on the page. It was cheaper to buy a slightly used one than to repair it, and since I really did like that printer a LOT, I bought the same printer, but little did I know that HP no longer supports this printer with Win 7, 64 bit. In order to install a new printer, the software wants you to delete the old driver, and then the software stops working at that point on Win 7. (Live and learn.) I found drivers to download, but none of them worked. After days of frustration, I downloaded a driver that allows it to print single pages, but will not support back-to-back printing, or any of the other features on the printer menu. I would give it 5 stars if it was still supported with a workable driver, but, alas, I believe it is no longer viable considering Microsoft has moved on, and HP is not keeping up.Read full review
I really like these older laserjet printers. plugs into my KVM and now I can print from 3 different machine without any issues (2 linux and one windows XP). I can get cheap ink on eBay (like 15$ for ~2500 pages) so my cost per page is really low. This printer prints plenty fast and has full duplex support and good drivers from HP (going from an old HP LaserJet 6L). This model is prone to wierd issues due to fabrication problems but I have had 0 issues with this one.
Bought this printer to replace my 3rd one of the same model. They only last a year or two. This replacement, refurbished, looks like and works like new. Toner cartridge was almost full. It was an excellent deal
