Don't leave the Shutdown pin unconnnected
I thought my unit was faulty until I found that the Shutdown pin goes to the floating gate of MOSFET which has no pullup or pulldown resistors on it. To make it work, that pin must be grounded. Other than that, it does what it says it will do.
