The Nikon F3 is one of, if not the best film slr ever. There's a reason its the longest produced Nikon camera ever. Extremely durable/reliable, beautiful design, great features, overall amazing camera. :)

Nikon F3 is the greatest 35mm film camera ever made. Solidly built with one of the most beautiful shutter sounds ever. Add to it the you can use every Nikon Lens made from the late 1950s to today.

Excellent camera, built very strong and reliable. Worthwhile buy. Although the maximum speed is not high, it is normally sufficient for most real purposes (1/2000s). The weird thing is the flash whose attachment is not very commercial nowadays but it works very well using the correct adapter. Very nice feeling when taking pictures, old school, most control.

Thanks to the digital takeover, you buy a great camera like the Nikon F3 HP for a song. Take advantage of the features and rugged build quality and get the fun back into photography. On a new set of silver oxide batteries you can take up to 5000 photos. If you do have a bad battery, you can still use this camera as a manual at 1/60th of a second shutter speed. Takes all AL Nikon lenses so you can use all of your old lens which is a great feature.
You can trust an F3 to keep on chugging, even after years of being left unused and unloved; put a new roll of film through it and it happily shoots away. The facture quality throughout the range of accessories underscores Nikon's attempts to reach the top of the professional equipment market; a few AA batteries and everything operates like it was made yesterday. The photo quality, the build quality, the longevity of parts, the accessory range, all are excellent. Most pros who've been servicing SLRs would have worked on at least one F3 before, and since they were made for years, there's still plenty of spare parts. A great camera.

The Nikon F3 is the last of the manual focus Nikon cameras (after F and F2), and it is wonderful. This electronic shutter camera was produced by Nikon for about 20 years. There is no shortage of excellent examples available for purchase on ebay. The camera handles well, the image is bright and easy to focus, many different finders and screens are available, and it takes all Nikkor AI and AIS lenses. The MD-4 motor can be found quite inexpensively. The motor is light and fast and it can also power the camera. This is an important point. Even if your camera battery fails, or if you simply do not have a battery for the camera, the AA batteries in the MD-4 motor will power both the motor and the camera body. My first love in Nikon was the F/F2. Once I started using the F3, I still had the manual feel, but many wonderful and easy-to-use features that the F3 offers, but the F and F2 do not. In my view, this camera receives an A+.Read full review

This camera works great! The first set of photos came out very nice. I think I might get a different lens. The zoom is great but I’d like something smaller. That’s not a strike against this camera—I’ve wanted this camera for 3 years and so happy to get my hands on it!!!
