My Mom's New Cat
I bought this cat during Christmas for my 92 year old mom who recently lost her cat of 17 years. I'm happy to say my mother is very astute so she is not duped into thinking it is anything real. Regardless, Since there is no way she could really have another live animal, this is a great faux companion for her. 'He' sits on her favorite chair next to her so she can pet him at her leisure. She decided to name him Wally :) Everyone had a great time with this little darling on Christmas Eve. It is very soft and life-like; purrs and meows louder than expected. The new owner (older lady who doesn't feel able to have pet cat anymore) was very pleased with the cat and was talking to it and petting it straightaway. Almost as good as the real thing.
Awesome product. The elderly person I bought the Hasbro Joy For All was thrilled. Her cat had to be put down and being too old to deal with a new live cat, the mechanical cat has filled the void. Looks like a real cat, purrs like a real cat, The meow not so much but not important. The sensors allow the cat to respond to touch and petting. Fun interaction!
This cat is very well made and does exactly what it says it does. The only thing I found is that the purring and meowing are a little too loud, and there's no way to soften the sound. Great companion
Puss is a lovely addition to my mums home. My mum's now 87, has the beginnings of Alzeimers & is very unstable on her feet.
