Cosina / Voigtlander has become my go-to consideration for Leica M-mount lenses, this 50/1.2 is just one of several I depend on for my Leicas. Camera Quest has never let me down. And for the record, this 50/1.2 is quite good wide open, and by f/2.8 it out resolves the potential of the sensor, it's a keeper.

Sturdy and well-made, yet relatively compact for an f/1.2 lens. It's a great balance of character and resolution, wonderful for portraits and a more artistic rendering at large apertures, or stop it down and shoot landscapes that are sharp to the edge. This Nokton doesn't quite reach the level of color and feel of my Leica Summilux ASPH, but you'll never notice the difference when viewing images on a cellphone or web-sized jpegs.
