This game is a must have if you like Battlefield or Call of Duty. I thought at first that it was a just another modern war game, but its actually an interesting combination. The campaign was really realistic and the story was MUCH better than Call of Duty. However it had that action packed feel that COD has, and Battlefield sort of lacks. The multiplayer is somewhat annoying (hence my 4 star) because it needs codes and if your buying it off Ebay then the codes won't work so it keeps giving you messages. Those aside however the multiplayer is realistic like Battlefield where you don't spawn and then leap into battle, you instead have to move around a bit to get to a certain spot. But it also feels like Call of Duty where the action is constant. All in all its a great buy for first person shooter fans, and the gameplay (in my opinion) is a pleasant mix of both COD and Battlefield.Read full review
Wanted to check it out so I bought it. I dont know what is so limited edition about it but other than that it is a pretty good game. It is a FPS ( first person shooter) game play and controls are similar to the Modern Warfare Series. All of you missions take place in the Middle East. You have a variety of missions: sniper, chopper gunner, and typical foot soldier. It isn't the longest game by any means maybe 5 hours of game play. I must say my favorite thing in this game is the power slide. The online game play I dont really care for. Again typical, team death match, control points, demolition, and a few others.
I pre ordered this game prior its launching because I strongly believed that this game will score high rating. However, I felt very disappointed once the reviews came out when I saw many critics give this game low rating, 7.5/10. But, once I played this game, I noticed that this is one of the year's best games I've ever played. The graphic is amazing and the gameplay is excellent despite of several flaws that can be easily ignored (because the flaws are not significant). I strongly recommend this game to any FPS fan out there. Cheers, Hisham MALAYSIA
This game is very intense and realistic for a first person shooter. The Campaign is fun and challenging with a great story line. The only problem is that it doesn't last long enough. The Online/Multiplayer interface is very much like the other popular FPS games, (Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, Battlefield...) with a few differences in the way score and kill streaks are met. All in all, Medal of Honor 2010 is a great game with an intense story line and superb graphics. There really should be more to the campaign (I was able to beat it on easy in a few hours) but it's still a game worth playing.
Dont get me wrong Medal of Honor is a GReat Game ,,graphics are really good ,,Excelent sound effects,,,BUT,, im an online gamer and to be honest call of duty is a much better experience,,,medal of honor gameplay is really hard to detect your enemies,,graphics are amazinG and the sound is out of this world just amazing ,,but when it comes to killing the enemy,,well call of duty is just much better... OVERALL BOTH GAMES ARE GREAT,,,I JUST LOVE SHOTTER GAMER!!!!
i have seen some online bad reviews on this game...but as the ps3 has been retired for many years now i am forced to do some lower grade titles....i was very surprised with medal of honor limited edition...it plays very much like any good call of duty game....good controls....good graphic...a well polished game....if you like COD you should check this game out!!!
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I purchased this game to play online with my friends. I love the story line in single player, the default controls are very intuitive. Sometimes in single player you feel like the useless man on the team, as most of the AI characters take care of the major things. Multiplayer is also great, except you can't play locally. So kick your friends out of your house so you can play games with them.
Medal of Honor PS3 was a lot of fun to play in the campaign but not so much online. If your one of those that loved the COD MW games's then stick with playing them.In this game people SPAWN CAMP! Every time I play this game online i'm done with in 10 mins I can't get 5 steps without getting killed by spawn camper's. Now put in COD MW2 or COD Blk Ops i'll own people all day long. This game is a great buy for under $20.00 the campaign is fun but to short EA did a bad job with the online gameplay.
This game is much better than i was expecting. The campaign is great, with incredible graphics, but extremely short, but this makes it easy for multiple playthroughs since it doesn't take very long. Only about 5 hours. The multiplayer is where this game shines. I am an avid FPS player. having played nearly every one of them under the sun in online matches. I kept hearing people talk about how this game didn't stack up with games like Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Bad Company, or Halo, but DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! The customization is great since you can change anything on your weapon during the match, instead having to have a preset loadout from the beginning of the match and being stuck with it until the match is over. Also, since the guys from DICE were the ones over the multiplayer, they put their signature style in place. Pretty much every game type requires you to work as a team, and camping is nearly impossible, because if your team leaves an area and you don't follow you will automatically die and respawn where your team is. The only people that wouldn't like this are you camping DOUCHEBAGS! Like is said, GREAT GAME!!!!Read full review
First off the story is so so at best. There wasn't really anything unique about it. Just felt like a rip off of call of duty with less action and less character interaction. Also the lack of changing location makes the game feel like you're playing a continuation of the same level, even though you're different people in different parts of the country. The second thing that was in my opinion the worst thing was the lack of multiplayer content and arsenal. You literally have almost no choice in the guns you use. There are very limited kits, seriously lacking customization, the stats of the guns don't match up, you can't choose your equipment for your kit and the so called VETERAN guns are really just a camo pattern... which you can only choose camo or not. The "SNIPER" rifles in the game are super slow firing and even with a damage modifier will only one shot kill in the head... go figure. Third, The EA server for some reason has been "DOWN" every time I try to play online for over a week. Call of duty and all my other games online play perfect. Also WHY did they make online so slow? By slow I mean retarded. If you want to exit a game after the round is over you have to wait until the next round loads and starts to exit. Why? Also every time you go online it asks you EVERY TIME to validate your online pass... I bought mine second hand so I didn't have one. Nice in your face advertisement you can't disable... Unless you buy more from them. And lastly, the trophies. I love trophies. I try to platinum every game I get. EA decided you put ONLINE trophies. Which is only cool if people play and IF YOU CAN GET ON THEIR SERVER! Oh and if you have a Hi Def TV or monitor, go stand next to snow and watch the mega pixilation. Don't even think to hard into why grenades bounce or why insurgents are accurate at 70 yards shooting over their heads from cover. As for Frontlines... They actually found a way to make it even more chock full of glitches and BS. Why can they shoot around corners and I can't? DON'T BUY THIS GAME UNLESS YOU HAVE EXTREME PATIENTS AND DON'T GET UPSET OVER BS IN THE GAME AND LAZY PROGRAMMING!Read full review
