This processor is one of my favorites for the 1st generation i7 chipsets. Works extremely well and I have had no problems since I gotten it. Pros: Is unlocked Runs @ 2ghz (3.2ghz turbo) 8 mb cache & 4 cores Better performance per dollar (compared to 940xm) Cons: 55w Gets hot fast (compared to a i7 840qm and below) I personally love this CPU it is by far my favorite 1st generation i7 cpu. Its less expensive then the 940xm with similar performance, but does more then a 840qm. The only thing you have to make sure with the XM series i7's is that they are properly cooled and that they have enough power and you should be good. Love it :D

Overclocks to 3.2ghz stable on all 4 cores and stays around 80C under full load. Atleast for me... Doesn’t bottleneck gtx 770M in 2018. The GPU is the bottleneck.
