Price OBO. Always negotiable within reason. Tape player doesn't work, I have a video upon request of the issue, it has been priced accordingly to account for this based on perfectly functioning units recently sold via ebay. May be just a belt replacement inside and probably easily repairable. Everything else is functional to my knowledge. Happy to meet up locally and test it if you have the correct hookups. Does NOT come with the remote. Came from a church and their stereo and audio equipment setup. Proceeds will to to them and their Av equipment fund.

The CD-A500 is easy to use.
I bought this unit used, to replace one on which the CD unit had failed, door open/close issue and CD disc recognition problem(seems to be a common problem with the CD-A500). However I do like the unit because it is so easy to use and really does a fine job on CD's. I especially like the program mode that allows you to set up at least 20 tracks and play only those tracks after setup. Also you can set 4 seconds between tracks,which is nice. It allows you to control playback without any surprises. All in all for the price it stacks up nicely againt any other unit I have seen.

Great space saving combo deck
I had been looking for a CD/cassette combo deck for a few years. It was very hard to find one in a “deck” style that can plug into my receiver, as opposed to the tower style or boom box. This is a nice-looking product that lets me play CDs and tapes from one player, saving space in my media console. I’m no audiophile but I think it sounds quite good.

THIS ITEM . Is a cd and cassatte recorder and player combine. when I first the cds I compared it to my carver,at first I thought carver was a lot better but as I heard more of the tascam I started to relize that it sounded warmer almost turntable like. The cassette is excallet when it records almost sounds as good as the cd player. this is a good item to buy if you have cds and you want a little warmer sound. great with vintage equitment .

I bought the CD player as a backup for the one I have.
I bought an 8 year old CD-A500 Tascam player as a backup to one that I have. It was in good shape. I had the Factory service it and it is just great. Total cost was less than 1/3 the cost of a new unit.
