The woofer of these Rockford Fosgate car speakers boasts an injection-molded, mineral-filled polypropylene cone, which provides a rich, powerful bass. The butyl rubber surround of these Rockford Fosgate car speakers’ woofer is capable of withstanding tremendous pressure. With an RMS of 150 watts (per pair), the 2-way car speaker system delivers a capable performance. The ¾-inch PEI dome tweeter of the Rockford Fosgate P1692 disperses the highs to every corner of the car.
These are Rockford Fosgate's middle of the range Punch series with a big heavy motor (magnet) and sturdy construction. Cone material is stiff for excellent bass response and they have a coaxial dome tweeter for smooth extended highs. They sound great, but the comparison is the old OEM speakers, so anything would be a step up I guess. I do recommend using a separate amplifier to drive these speakers. These should be able to mount in most rear deck 6 X 9 openings as those have plenty of room to fit depth wise. Highly recommended.
I was hesitant on spending the money but it was totally worth it. The sound is remarkable. These are better than Kicker speakers, or just about any other top of line speakers. The bass to voice is awesome and even if you want to have more bass than voice if you adjust them they will sound like you have some nice subs in your vehicle. i Am so thrilled with these speakers. Beyond satisfied.
