I LOVE that this trombone is helping me make sweet music. I bought this trombone as a replacement for my 5-yr old, used trombone. Realizing that this is a newer trombone might explain some of its benefit: slide is so smooth, trigger much easier, spit valve works, and sound quality so much better. As a junior in high school, this is the second year that I made All-District Band & will go to state auditions. I bought this new trombone hoping that I'd have a better chance for making state band.
I had been looking up and down all over the internet for a 42Bo because my son was told by the band director that he was ready for a step-up. He suggested a Bach 42Bo or Yamaha YSL-882o. Having tried out both he decided on the 42Bo. When we bought it, he loved it. The tone quality (according to him) was near perfect. Tuning the trombone was easy and the sound was fantastic. Now he's using it as the band's 1st chair trombone and he tells me that the trigger is like his saving grace for scales. It truly was a great buy.
My son has truly enjoyed this wonderful instrument. I was happy to be able to buy such a nice trombone at a lower price than what I would have had to pay at a music store.
