I wasn’t able to use the part because it was too big to fit. The old part slid in and out easy. I could only get the tip of this one to start into the hole. I’d have had to force it in if it went in at all without breaking. If it had, I’d have had to pull the transmission and torque converter to get it out.

I needed to change the crankshaft position sensor in my CLK500, so I got one from Autozone. Ever since I changed it, the check engine light would come one periodically and the car would misfire. But then I replaced the Sensor with this one, and now my car runs great. In all likely hood, this is an original Bosch product. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of Bosch knock off's available. Make sure that the Sensor has Bosch/part # embossed on it, like this one.

Works just like if I had bought it for the Mercedes Benz dealer. Car performs well and have stop cutting off while driving. And to my surprise it also made the transmission shift like new again. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

The Bosch Crankshaft Position Sensor is a quality part that is just like OEM. This wonderful little part cured an irritating problem I was having with the 2000 Mercedes Benz S500. The car would not start after it driving and the car had warmed up. I would have to wait 10-15 minutes to start the car. After just changing this part only. Not starting after it warms up is no longer an issue. I hope this helps someone who is having this issue.
