The Compaq family of Server Console Switches makes it easy to control multiple servers from a single console (keyboard, video monitor and mouse). Perfect for rack-mounted servers, these switches enable network administrators and information system managers to control, manage or observe as many as 64 servers running multiple operating systems Nall from a single access point.Available in 2, 4 and 8-port models, the switch box connector kits can connect multiple 4 and 8-port switch boxes together for a maximum of 64 ports. The switches use an On-Screen Display (OSD) interface with intuitive menus and other features that enable server selection and control from the console command line. The console mouse can interact with the graphical user interface of the selected computer. Two 8-port models offer dual console capabilities, providing the flexibility to control console switches from more than one location or by more than one user. Control of groups of servers can be switched between administrators. As part of the complete Compaq family of innovative, cost-effective enterprise management systems, these Server Console Switches streamline control of hard-working enterprises, reducing floor-space and personnel costs while simplifying management of complex server configurations.

Works but eventually stops responding
Product works great for a while but stops working after a short period of time. When this happens, the keyboard stops responding which prevents user from displaying the input select menu by pressing the PrtSc button. Fix is to just turn unit off and then back on.
