This CPU is actually older by a year than the one that came with my HP Pavilion p6717c which had an Athlon ii x4 645 but it performs about 10% better for the applications I use because of the added L3 cache. Overall it is a nice improvement and it works as expected. For the price you can't beat it. I paid around $16 for it. If you have an older system using the AM2+/AM3 socket motherboard, I would recommend this if you want a 5-10% performance upgrade over the stock CPU. It doesn't have the processing power of more recent CPU's but for basic tasks it gets the job done.

IT was exactly what I needed, seems to be reliable and working great! This particular model of Phenom does not seem to have the same issues as the other series of chips.
