If you are looking to upgrade from your single-core processor, an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 dual-core processor (part number HH80557PJ0804MG) can handle the increasing demands of everyday computing life. The two cores enable the machine to stay swift and agile as you run multiple programs for work or for play. With a second core, multitasking is a breeze. The system will automatically assign different tasks to the second core, alleviating the strain on the CPU from the most extreme software and applications. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 has a blazing fast clock speed of 3 GHz on each core, and you can push the speeds even higher by overclocking the CPU. This device combines the performance of desktop processors with the efficiency and low power consumption of a small and quiet CPU system. The Core 2 Duo E6850 3 GHz processor features the patented Intel micro-architecture technology and the company's penchant for innovative design. The front-side bus (FSB) architecture runs at a speed of 1333 MHz for plenty of speed built into this Intel processor. It also has 4MB of L2 cache, which is a fast and agile memory pool that stores your frequently accessed data. The cache is important for quicker memory access. The processor also offers 64-bit data width and sufficient memory bandwidth, as well as compatibility with 32-bit systems. With this processor, you get the data flow and program efficiency that you've been craving. This Intel chip also supports virtualization technology, allowing a single hardware platform to function as multiple virtual systems. It can slot into the socket of your motherboard to power your machine with advanced technology. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3 GHz card is designed to avoid overheating and crippling power consumption even when you overclock it. The Intel Thermal Monitoring Technologies protect the system from thermal failure by carefully adjusting the temperature of each core to keep it within a normal operating range. The processor's maximum case temperature is no more than 72 degrees Celsius, keeping it running cool. It has a thermal design power (TDP) of 65w. The TDP is the typical power that the system dissipates when it is operating at its general clock speed with all cores active. The CPU will automatically try to minimize power consumption when the system is idle. The Intel Enhanced SpeedStep Technology is designed to dynamically change the frequency and voltage of the CPU in response to the demands of the software. This helps meet the power conservation needs of many mobile systems. Both a heatsink and a fan are included on these CPUs.The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3 GHz card comes with many security tools to reduce your system's exposure to viruses and malicious code attacks. This general-entry microprocessor can be used for many different systems and purposes. The Intel E6850 is compatible with motherboards with Socket T types. If you have a single-core CPU that needs to be replaced, an upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3 GHz card could help you enjoy the fast 3 GHz speeds, the solid benchmarks, and the other performance advantages offered by Intel.
Great Processor Upgrade For a HP Pavilion a6500f...
At the time of this review (2/2/2021), the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 is a pretty old processor from 2007. It was used to replace an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 on a HP/Foxconn MCP73M02H1 (NAPA) motherboard. The PC booted right up without any problem after the new processor was installed. I don't have actual performance data, but it feels more responsive, and handles streamed video better. A great inexpensive upgrade for an old PC.
To the question "Is it easy to install?", I answered "NO", because processors are just not easy to install for anyone who hasn't done it before. For anyone familiar with installing processors, it's about the same as any other processor install.
Replaced the original Intel E2200 on older HP Pavilion, that is now serving as Home Media Centre. Significant increase in performance especially while multitasking. Doesn't overheat, no compatibility issues, upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, which it now runs fast and smooth. This CPU upgrade made the ageing computer fully functional for all basic needs, including watching streaming videos, and worthy to keep it for few more years.
well i had a intel celeron 3400 2.60 ghz fsb 800 mhz dual core, i switched to this one cause i thought it could give me better fps on games by activating fsb 1333 on the bios with this, but it didn't gave much, but in overall i'm happy with it cause my computer is way faster dealing with documents and opening programs and in apps like poser pro and Photoshop it did increased speed. i would highly recommend this if you want to increase performance on your computer and the best thing, is not expensive so come on try it.
