Fastest Notebook CPU on the market for this generation of PC. Even though it is very power efficient and temp efficient, it can run at 2.8 GHz, a 60% improvement over the T5850 that runs at 1.8 GHz. With this X9000 my HP laptop with 478 socket wuns like lightning. Overall performance improvement is outstanding. Before it took 15 seconds to open an internet explorer browser, now it takes 2 seconds. Overall, performance of CPU is 60% faster, without taking any more power or running hotter. The X9000 runs so cool with the factory heatsink, you can touch the edge without burning your fingers and the temp of the CPU is only 110 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the CPU you want for your GM965 chipset (Most 2009 or newer motherboards with 478 Intel socket)

This is the most powerfull CPU for my laptop Dell XPS M1730. This CPU has an unlocked multiplier. So, in the BIOS of my laptop I have an option for regulating CPU's frequency from default 2.8GHz to maximum 3.4GHz with a step of 200 MHz. I was set a CPU's frequency to 3.2GHz, system was stable, but cpu fan become more noisly.

Great CPU upgrade for my Dell Latitude D630 and D830 with 8GB RAM and SSD drive. A 2007 laptop/notebook that 13 years later can still perform with the rest. Runs as good as modern quad core processors even though its a dual core thanks to its 2.8GHZ speed. Breath new life to an old school reliable Latitude Series notebook. This was a very fun modification upgrade project.

I had an older Acer Travelmate laptop and wanted to improve its speed, this processor definitely did it, and I see no overheating issues

Considering the 10 years of age at the time of this writing this cpu is simply amazing! It was first released as a "gaming" cpu and bundled with laptops that had slow and hot (by today's standards) dedicated graphics processors, mainly by Nvidia. The cpu itself however was and still is fast. In terms of today's computational standards this cpu still keeps up and even manages to surprise powering through cpu-intensive web-tasks with ease, it has double the single-thread performance of an n5000 silver quad-core running at 1.10 ghz. So it still manages to perform on par with modern quad-core laptop cpu's, even though it's only a dual-core! Again simply amazing performance and very much relevant even today, love it!

It works, it's way faster than what I had, and the price was fair. It had a QA sticker on it that covered the product details, and that was difficult to remove, so removed one star.

Well, I installed this in a dell m1730 laptop and it overclocks to 3.4 Ghz with no problems. Great CPU!

Perfect for the CPU has brought brutal stuff to my old laptop.

The installation was a snap and the laptop recovered easily from this "brain transplant" ! However the performance increase is not as good as expected but good enough for the price I paid.

This is a beast. Make sure you have good cooling.
