I've waited for many, many years to get a die-cast of this car. The model is beautiful, finely packaged and detailed to a very high standard. Priced reasonably, finished in a high gloss paint. One of the best quality cars in my collection for certain. If I were to have done the car the headlights would rotate like the original car, the rocket doors would close including the tracker in the trunk along with retracting the brushes on the rear wheels. Also the Green screen for Kato does not come down. I think that should also work. I did notice that in the rear, the control panel for all the gizmos wasn't there. That needed to be in place as well. Overall, as I mentioned it is a fantastic car and will bring me years of pleasure. Kudos to the maker.

The weaponry and features on this Black Beauty DO NOT STOW. They are forever deployed and extended. So that this 1:18 scale car will not ever fit in a 1:18 display case. The gear should have been made to stow. it makes me not want this car.

The details on this model is to be commended. Perfect detailing throughout exterior and interior. The interior does lack some 'Black Beauty' features, like phones, but the quality of refinement makes up for any shortcomings. I only wish the car's engine had been modified as a 'super engine' but was only standard looking. Still, the craftsmanship is superb. Really love this Black Beauty model!

This long, wide four door solid black car is amazing. All panels, front, rear and trunk are open. I prefer them closed. The missiles and open panel doors are all one piece per corner. They ar easy to remove and the separated doors fit perfectly in the openings. The open panel in the grill was a little difficult to pull out but it did come out. The grill door, separated from the gun part fit perfectly. The only doors that didn't are on the trunk. This car with all weapons doors shut is again, amazing. The size of it, nearly 13" long, the sleek overall posture of it is incredible. It looks great sitting next to the Best of Show 1965 black Imperial.

AutoArt is known for highly detailed, quality replicas. The Black Beauty is no exception. The finish is flawless and it is a solidly built model. The doors open and close smoothly and feel sturdy, not tinny. Interior detail is very good as is the completely duplicated engine under the opening hood. One can almost imagine Van Williams and Bruce Lee gliding through the dark city streets in this car. The only improvement I could think of would be for the panels that conceal the headlights, gas jet nozzles, rockets, rear wheel brooms and remote controlled drone to be hinged rather than fixed open. As it is, though, this model is very impressive and would make an excellent addition to the collection of any fan of the Green Hornet, any collector of TV and movie cars, any fan of Chrysler products or any fan of replicas in general.Read full review
