This was one of the best written TV shows of all time and was intelligently written. It had what our lives sometimes miss; loyal friends, humor, sad story lines with episodes that end happily. The pilot episode Castle left me wanting more, much more in fact, and that is exactly what a good pilot should do. The relationship formed between the two leads, as the season progresses, is unquestionably one of the best and is, so far, most endearing. It is impossible to not like them. I've been a fan of Nathan Fillion's since his days on Firefly, and bringing in a relatively newcomer, Stana Katic, with her first leading role, was gold by casting department!! The ABC staff was trying to cut cost and canceled the show. I wish it was picked up by another network like a lot of other shows have (i.e. Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Fox to NBC, Lucifer: Fox to Netflix, Designated Survivor: ABC to Netflix, ect.). Really enjoy this show. Show has a little bit of everything to it. Drama, action ,comedy and romance. All the actors do a wonderful job. Like the added features to tapes. Outtakes, behind the scenes and a deleted scenes. Was a great buy. Will get season 8 when it comes out but sorry to see how the are ending it.
