The HoneyTone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp cranks like a little hot rod has a great clean or overdriven sound. The HoneyTone amp also boasts a real leather handle, belt clip, headphone jack, Volume, Tone, and Overdrive controls. The HoneyTone N-10 amp is powered by 9-volt battery (included) or a DA-1 adapter. Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.
With a retro style and vintage tone, this N-10 Danelectro Honeytone guitar amp can deliver great clean or overdriven tones that are controllable with a dial on the top side. This is a portable guitar mini-amp, so it can be either handheld with the real leather handle or clipped to a belt using the belt clip located on the back of the mini-amp. The vintage tone from this Danelectro guitar amp can also be enjoyed in private, as it has a headphone jack input next to the volume, tone, and overdrive dials. The small, portable Danelectro Honeytone guitar amp is powered by 9-volt battery, but it can also be connected to a Danelectro DA-1 adapter, which must be plugged in to an AC-powered socket. This guitar mini-amp has a simple, retro style and appearance to it, with its chrome circle around the speaker and the text HONEYTONE superimposed. This guitar amp can be of great use in a number of situations. For example, if during a birthday party or a street performance a small, portable guitar amplifier is needed that delivers great sound quality, this Danelectro guitar amp is the ideal choice. The guitarist can even entertain a crowd with old-style music with this Danelectro guitar amp by adding a vintage effect to the music, bringing the audience back in time as they listen to guitar music through a vintage-style guitar amplifier. This guitar mini-amp has a comfortable size to take along traveling. Its height, length, and depth are only 5.6 inches by 5.8 inches by 3 inches, respectively, and the weight is only one pound.
I was looking for an inexpensive small amp to use with a CBG, battery powered, portable, and this fit the bill. I don't think it's 10 watts and didn't expect it to be, its lowed enough, looks cool, and has a belt clip. I wish I could have picked the color but I like the color I got. You can also power it with a 9v 500ma adapter, but it doesn't come with one. I'd buy another one
I bought this amp to practice with at home or on the go. I mainly bought it because I liked the "retro" look. It does indeed look cool, but my main issue is that it produces A LOT of feedback (the AC adapter makes this worse) and when you hit about the 9th fret on the G string, it distorts even if overdrive is turned all the way down and volume is low. I play jazz guitar, so I don't use gain or overdrive...I like a warm clean sound and I can't get that with this amp. I give it 3 stars because it does look nice and makes my guitar louder I guess. And just to be clear, I tried it on multiple guitars...the amp is most def the problem.
For the price you won't be disappointed.... as long as you keep in mind you only paid 20 bucks.
It's a battery operated amplifier for less than the cost of a few sets of strings. The first thing I noticed when I played on this.... is how bad it sounded with the gain up. The distortion sounds terrible on this little guy, and should really never be used. If you've got a pedal or effects processor, with the gain turned ALL the way down, this passes as a decent little practice amp if you've got no other option. It's probably a little overrated, but it's the cheapest guitar amp with a speaker you can buy, and for the price it is a good buy.
Ok,so I bought this because I was building some electric instruments and I needed an inexpensive method of testing them and playing them. I'm not a musician, just a builder, so I couldn't see investing in a 'real' amp. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the HomeyTone, it makes a pretty big noise for such a small amp. It's certainly enough for a portable pocket amp (and yes it does have a beltclip on it). I appreciated the tone control as most of my instruments don't have one. If I had to point out the cons- I'd say the amp has a lot of feedback hum. This may be because of my setup, using economy cables, un shielded wires on my pickup, that kind of thing, I don't know. But when you crank up the volume you get plenty of background noise. For the price, and it's intended use, I can't complain. ALSO, keep your eyes peeled for much cheaper AC adapters that work with this...I found a 9v DC to AC adapter (with the - center/ + outside) for $1,works perfectly. I wholeheartedly agree with all the positive reviews and all, but it is not a genuine Danelectro product. Now, to be fair, it does come with an actual Danelectro battery installed in it; however, the rest of the N-10 is of a "second generation nature," in my opinion. It just so happens that I am the proud owner of two original (one yellow, never used; one aqua, slightly used) HONEYTONE Mini Amps—complete with their original boxes and owners manuals. The unique manual itself is of a booklet form printed on durable stock with the front and rear covers printed in the traditional Danelectro colors while the pages themselves were deliberately arranged with a convincing "nostalgic look" in mind. The Danelectro logo is plastered all over the box so that you know your getting the real thing—way back 1988. The most important feature that distinguishes the original N-10 from newer offering is the famous Danelectro logo —in raised letters—centered in front of the speaker grill running vertically and supported by, what I call, the "spike." In all other respects the newer model is exactly the same and, of course, comes with that same great vintage sound. An added bonus is the tiny, but official, Danelectro instrument catalog which also was thoughtfully packed in. Well, there you have it. The reviews are in. The mighty HONEYTONE Mini Amp (old or new) comes highly recommend with all its mid-century styling, color scheme and; of course, lots of "chrome" to polish up. And if you're ever fortunate to stumble upon an original one then, by all means, grab it.
