I was very happy to find that I wouldn't be spending a weekend trying to assemble these! I have quite the collection of stairs and a ramp for our elderly 70-lb. furrbutt, and these are the most sturdy and stable I have found yet. She's still skiddish probably because of past experience, but she has no problems using them when I coax her. And so far, the carpet has stayed in place very well. And they fit the height of our bed quite nicely.
