It's a decent quality percolator for the money. I bought this strictly for camping trips and wanted a basic, no frills, I don't care what happens to it, coffee pot. That's what I got. I have $8 percolators and I have $75 percolators. I don't expect the $8 one to perform like the $75 one. It percs coffee and that's what it's designed for. It's aluminum not high quality stainless steel. I'd buy another if I needed it.

The box says since 1949 so this appears to be a copy of the original design for this pot. Need to clean it with hot soapy water before use, it perks well and made a good pot of crackerbarrel coffee on the first attempt. Brewed up 5 cups which was the lower line on the side of the pot. It took about 20 minutes. Had a problem with the stem, it was bent at the base and it wouldn't perk. After straightening the base in relation to the stem it started perking. It is a lightweight design made from aluminum so it won't weigh much if you are packing it. It has it's place in a camping setting, but it's a little too lightweight for home use.
