I had been waiting to buy a die-cutter because I was sure it was a craft luxury I couldn't afford. When I saw this one, I had to snap it up. I know it's an older model, but never having had one in the first place, that didn't matter to me. It was half the price of any machine I've seen! I've already made cards with cardstock, two mugs and a platter with adhesive vinyl, and a T-shirt dress with iron-on vinyl, all of which look totally professional, I am told. Next, I plan on making Turkish tile stencils for redecorating our basement. The Cricut is easy to use, even for totally custom designs (once you figure it out), and I'm having so much fun. All my friends will be getting personalized, professional-looking gifts this year!

The software is horrible!!!!! I am a SCAL user and the SCAL software was so much easier and cut out uploaded shapes 100% better. The software is only on-line, so when my internet is down, which happens a lot, I can not use my machine. Well, what do you want to do when you have no internet? PLAY with the machine! Very frustrating. It is a print and cut priority software which is nice, however; I use a lot of uploaded or designed images. In SCAL it can read the image and cut out all the holes, for instance a doily, a ship with windows, baby rattle,words, etc., Cricut Design Space will only do the outline of an uploaded image unless you manually erase every area you want cut out. Everything was like brand new. I received my printer within 3 days of paying for it. No damage and everything was sealed and wrapped like new. The only issue i had was that the weeding tools and extra needles were missing, and i need to pay for these seperate. Other than that its perfect.
