Great acting, good story, definitely portrayed the hardships, cruelty, and price paid of the era.
Ending was the weakest part of the story, not very realistic which is why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5.
It is such a good story about the first Dutton to settle at Yellowstone. The actors are amazing. The story, directing, costumes, everything are so very real. A perfect description of what our ancestors endured on wagon trains going West.
This movie is AS good...or....even better than Yellowstone! We LOVED it! We are, currently, looking for another movie like this! However, we don't think there are other movies that can compare to this one!
Viewed the first few episodes of 1883 when it was on network tv. Loved the characters, loved the story line and wanted to see more of it. Although it is a Christmas gift, I can't wait to share it with him!
Great story ! Loved it. A prequel to Yellowstone with great actors. Elsa is beautiful and she was 1/2 of the story! Can relate to real life in so many ways. Want to watch 1923 and will watch the first 4 series of Yellowstone again. Will buy the other series when they come out.
