If proper power usage settings are set in the computer, this battery can last a long time on a charge. But, if like me you need to use as much power as possible all the time, its life is definitely shortened quickly. I first started having issues right after my original warranty expired, and running the battery reset seems to shorten the life of the battery (which is in direct opposition to what the function claims to do). For example, when my battery was reaching the end of its lifespan, and a full charge lasted half an hour, a battery reset caused it to no longer hold any charge. Bought a replacement, which I now run on battery saver mode and it lasts for three and a half hours on a 75% charge. I plan to keep this battery alive as long as possible.
