There was one of these wagons at the house that I bought in 2003. It's all rusty, but still working fine! I was going to repair it, but still haven't, so on my 75th birthday, I received a new one for a gift! I learned that it will celebrate it's 100th birthday next year!!! What a great item. Bur even greater, is that one can still buy it today!! I also have collected smaller samples of the same item!! Many things that we love are no longer available. It's so wonderful to know that this is still available, and as beautiful as ever!! I know several others who have an old one in our community. I will still keep the old one too! I remember the very first one when I was 5 years old!

Radio Flyer outsourced the manufacturing to PRC and as a result is a much inferior product, more for display than any practical use. Very thin metal is used, so thin that no way two 12 year old boys or 1 adult can ride inside or be pulled like the original 1970's build quality, without the wagon collapsing under any practical weight, except for perhaps an infant. The metal is so weak when you pull the Handel with no weight inside, the paper thin metal in the floor buckles. So now I have to reinforce it with plywood and additional metal braces. All the owners have done is ruin a brand name IMO. My wife who is Chinese had an old saying that applies here: "Save pennies lose dollars"

It's just the right size whether hauling kids or hauling groceries. The instructions are easy to follow, all parts are bagged, and it is easy to assemble. Tools are required ~ a flat edge screwdriver, wrench, pliers, and a hammer. It took at the most 30 minutes to put together. It's lightweight, yet sturdy and durable.

I purchased the larger red wagon. I have plans to use it in the garden and take to the plant shows around town. It is well constructed and my husband had no problem putting the wheels and handle on it. It was shipped in a strong box and was delivered on the date promised. I am totally pleased with all aspects of this purchase!!!

Product was listed as open box. If I was buying it for a kid I would have returned it. However I'm using it for generator cart and I am planning on modifying it anyway. When removed from packaging the main wagon had the front and back flanges bent down. One of the wheels was smash. I was able to beat it back closer to original shape and got it on the axle. It was close to needing to be replaced. If I have any issues I may need to get a new wheel. If buying for your kids I would buy new directly from website. I knew this was open box and didn't expect it to be perfect, but I did expect it to be in better shape because of how it was advertised.
