I've owned a P1, P2, Inspire 1, EVO, 550 and numerous other drones. The P3 resolves all of their faults and liabilities. In addition, it's the longest flight time of them all and is at the top of the stability list. My only complaint is the radical change in way points. In DJI's zeal to protect life and property from idiots, you can no longer mark points one a map (i.e.: the parameter of a forest fire) and fly autonomously. Now, you must fly the route first and mark the waypoints for a future flight. Come on DJI - enough is enough. Also, the minimum altitude for follow-me to work is 30m. Really ???? What detail of a bike ride or river rating can you photograph at this altitude? If you can ignore the over-idiot-proofing that DJI forces onto the hobby, its the best drone for my money.

This drone is very easy to control and a lot of fun. I am a beginner with drones and was concerned spending that much on something that I might destroy the first time I fly. The return home function is great and the way the drone will hover in position makes it very simple to fly safely. Just let go of the controls and the drone stops immediately and hovers while cheaper drones require constant control or they fall out of the sky. The only issue I have had is with the video streaming from the camera. The drone is stated to be able to stream up to 3 miles with the light bridge technology however I did lose camera at 5000 ft. (Less than 1 mile). I have not updated the firmware and that may be the issue. To be honest there isn't much reason to fly so far away and I am happy with the range I just thought to mention it. The gimbal is great. The camera does not move and keeps a steady picture no matter how the drone itself moves. Drone does great in windy conditions but wind does effect the length of flight time. The Pro is amazing for taking stills or video. The camera is top quality and there are loads of adjustment you can make with shutter speed, frames per second, filtering, etc... I am not an experienced photographer so it is a little difficult for me to figure out however I'm sure it is a breeze for seasoned photographers. All in all this is a top quality product and the absolute best you can get for the money.Read full review

for the price i got it for, yes it is a very good drone. zips around fast, has good video and pictures. there are other drones out there and i did get one of the others to see if it was any better or not. this one is a little race car, the other is more of a suv . and you can take video while it is zooming around and it comes out great. a little hard to keep it from not wanting to race off one way or the other that takes time. so it is best to find a wide open place to start with so you don't hit things with it or go up to 100ft.
