I had tried a third party battery pack for my Nikon D750 and it proved to be less than reliable. I purchased it because of the list price of this Nikon product which I still think is excessive. I did manage to find a somewhat lower price for the Nikon unit and decided that reliability was more important to me in my photography work than a cheaper, less reliable version. So far all has been as I expected! Glad I did it.

I should have guess the poor built quality of this product based on the price. It fits good, it works well (so far), it came in with cosmetic issues (a scratch on the bottom side). There is glue run outs were the rubber grip ends. All documentation is in Chinese, there is no USA guarantee. I don't even think this qualifies as a GRAY product, it most be qualified as a knockoff of the original copy.

No matter what you're high amateur or beginner, this is one of the product you should purchase along with a camera body. The battery last longer and the balance is much better. Only the down side is the weight. However, this particular product only holds one rechargeable battery and not so bad either unless you use 6 AA batteries. I bought this to get the slightly faster frame rate it allows with the D70 camera when shooting Continuous High plus the additional shutter release for shooting vertical shots.
