Aside from addressing a long-known weak point of the Tamiya products that use this gearbox, the MIP differential is a nicely made product with very nice instructions and sensible packaging. It feels smooth and fits into the stock housing with no modifications required. It consists of several metal and plastic components, as well as two diameters of loose ball bearings that are separated in sealed plastic bags, and feels like it is good quality. I installed the MIP differential to support a 10.5T motor that I bought but haven't received yet, so I can't comment on how it tolerates stronger motors, but I think it will handle the 10.5 with no trouble, and assembling and installing it is an enjoyable process. Having a 2mm allen wrench ready when you assemble the MIP differential will make assembly and adjustment easy.Read full review

I love my Tamiya Blackfoot. This is an awesome upgrade and I'm finally free of the clacking noise in the transmission. Running on 2s lipo and a 17.5 sensored brushless motor. This thing is butter smooth and a blast to drive.

one of the few parts that have come out for some of the best rc stuff out there, and an improvement over the stock unit for all the more powerful regular upgrades done today.

The quality of the parts are great and everything went together perfectly. I haven't run it in the car yet, but bench testing is smooth.
