Aside from addressing a long-known weak point of the Tamiya products that use this gearbox, the MIP differential is a nicely made product with very nice instructions and sensible packaging. It feels smooth and fits into the stock housing with no modifications required. It consists of several metal and plastic components, as well as two diameters of loose ball bearings that are separated in sealed plastic bags, and feels like it is good quality. I installed the MIP differential to support a 10.5T motor that I bought but haven't received yet, so I can't comment on how it tolerates stronger motors, but I think it will handle the 10.5 with no trouble, and assembling and installing it is an enjoyable process.
