We have always had corded Blowers, mainly Toro (the best), but needed a Cordless also and we already own well over a dozen newer Makita products (including 6 new batteries 5.0) so took a chance on this 36V version per reviews. This BLOWS you away. Very nice, lightweight, easy to use and very powerful. I bought strap for it plus flat nozzle for less than $20, and now wife loves it for it's ease of use.. almost daily for blowing pine needles off patio. This unit is much more powerful than duly noted and it's variable speed options are of great use. Overall this blower is a 5+++ rated unit. I suggest people who wish to get into or upgrade their Makita products to pay attention to Home Depot holiday/event ads as no one seems to beat or match their package deals for throwing in Extra batteries or extra tools for same price as single unit pricing. Last 2yrs I have done exactly this when Home Depot comes out with their Christmas ads by buying a new item and getting free tools plus extra batteries Free. Read full review

I own a lot of the the Makita 18V tools and love them. They all seem to hold up well and the leafblower is nice but I was disappointed with the power. I guess I expected more because of the other tools are so top notch. I maybe expected a lot more power. But it is a nice tool and seems to hold up decent with my 5.0 batteries.

I’ve used this blower to blow leaves from my flower beds, blow out my garage and to clean sawdust from some shop tools. It’s very powerful. I had to power down on the rotary power switch because it was blowing the heavy bark out of my flower beds. It’s a pretty large unit. I love that I don’t smell like mixed fuel after using it. No fumes to fill my garage or shop. I’m excited to use it to blow out my dryer vent ducts from the inside of the house. As you adjust the rotary knob the frequency of the motor changes as it increases in speed. At the upper end it almost sounds like an electric RC airplane. It doesn’t sound powerful enough to do much but then you point the blower towards the ground and the power is quite impressive. Only time will tell how well it holds up but for now I’m very pleased.Read full review

Just the time savings of not having to do either A) strapping on and filling up gas blower B) uncoiling long extension cord for electric blower is enough. PROS: Pop in the batteries and GO. Strong enough to clear driveway and porch leaves and debris. Moves small rocks with no problem. Blower is not too heavy. Easy to move around. Locking trigger is GREAT. The adjustable length tubes are easy to use. CONS: Not sure how long battery charge will last when I have full yard of leaves.

Very powerful blower! When placed on the highest setting this Mikita is more powerful than my electric blower (and lighter weight too)! Good balanced unit that reduces fatigue. Be advised that on the highest setting I was able to use for 15-18 minutes before the battery was drained, but in my application that is all the time I need. I have a second set of batteries that I keep charged should I need them. Buying on eBay was about $90 less than Amazon for this unit. I would purchase again - well worth the price!!

I got a new friend at my door today. I 💕 it. I works great on 3.0 batteries for 20 minutes on half power setting 3. My front and back door can be cleaned in 10 minutes. I bought cheap batteries from china, and my tools all work fine on them. I have 25 makita tools or more already and would never make a change. It's a big blower 4x bigger than the first model, which my 88 year old mother kept from me. Lol
