Well designed and constructed. The saw blade edge is long enough to do some good. The knife is made from HRC-55 carbon steel which is easy to sharpen but needs regular attention. This steel is also commonly used for French chef knives, and thus it is well known for its durability. This is a survival knife so it's focus is on function rather than looks. The sheath and grip use a durable plastic. Lastly, it is well balanced enough that, with practice, it can be reliably thrown. Great value price and made by Glock in Austria.

The bevel on the straight edge had a flat spot low enough that regular sharping won't remove. The low spot was black just like the coating on the knife which leads me to believe it was a defect from the factory. there is a black spot on the apex/bevel (approx. 1 1/2"long), Needs resharpening its mostly dull. This was my only complaint; it is a 35-dollar knife.

Great "field" knife! Solid, good length and balance. The blade isn't the sharpest, but it's good enough. The tip and sawback are perfect.

These are great knives. Glock was making them before they made pistols, so they have been at it a while. What they are not: choppers, “bushcraft” knives, whittlers. What they are: a general purpose knife that is stout, made of good steel, that is capable of doing a lot of things fairly well. It is a soldiers field/fighting knife, and the build reflects that. I keep one in the pack in the truck in case of emergencies where I need a “jack of all trades” knife.

Good knife, not perfect but great for the price point. It hangs a bit low on my belt and it often takes two hands to draw from the sheath cleanly, but it cuts well and the root saw on the back is just plain nasty. It's probably better suited for a shoulder draw on a chest rig/harness, but even on my belt I'm able to draw from both my left side and right side without any issues, as it goes into the sheath either way. Highly recommended for a light weight sub $40 knife.

Like others, I found the grip to be a bit too smooth. Sweaty hands? It's going to be too slick. A quick stippling of the handle and all is well. (see photos) Glock should make it textured from the factory. The knife itself seems quite sturdy and the locking plastic sheath gets good marks as well. For $35, it'll make a neat camping or bug out bag accessory.

After finding out Glock was originally a knife maker I had to have one. While on vacation in Gatlinburg I went to Smokey Mountain Knife works where they say “If it cuts, we carry it,” on the building. I figured for sure they would have a Glock field knife. Asked around to find out that they do not carry Glock knives. The individual store employee stated his Uncle had one and loved it but SMKW did not have them. If an employee has a family member that has access to all the knives they do and loves a product not carried by that company, it’s something special. Got mine at a crazy good price and love it.

Been thinking about getting one for a while now. Glad I finally did. This knife is just what I expected. Sleek and tough with a great sheath. Delivered quickly also.

Sturdy half tang knife. They aren’t being imported to the US anymore so I got a couple more to have. I think I like it better than either of my Ka Bar knives. The abuse they can take is impressive. Knife came before the first Glock pistol. Sheath is quite decent.

Awesome blade, just what I wanted! The FDE is a little hard to find so finding it at this price was great! Mine came a little dinged on the handle but that’s no issue, as it’ll be used.
