I have been using the same hairbrush since I can remember. Now that I have an injury to my hand, I can secure this brush in my brace and still end up with simple, but clean and neat looking hairstyle! This brush is the only one I will use. The flat handle is easy to grip, the bristles are easy to clean, holds up well under use and lasts (last one I had was over 10 years old!)... Afraid by the time I need a new one I won't be able to find them...I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it!

The bristles are plastic but they are not harsh on my scalp. As my hair is thinning and two of my meds make my skin thin I like how this treats my scalp. The brush is a dream to clean. You just push out the rubber center that holds the bristles, remove the bristles, and then wash the rubber piece and the plastic bristles. This is so nice!
