Now that Cold Steel has addressed the problems that faced the Pocket Bushman... 1. The RAM-SAFE LOCK spring guide has been addressed and FIXED. (Broken or deformed Ram-Lock springs have been fixed by re-designing the RAM-LOCKS' Guide) 2. The Blade steel has been UPGRADED to CTS-BD1. (vastly superior in strength and corrosion resistance to former versions of Krupp's 4116.) ... The Pocket Bushman is one of the best folding knives out there. (for the money) Although, it is not one of the easiest folders to use... It makes up for it in Strength and Reliability. It is well worth the $30 they are asking for it and should serve you well for years to come. It's open-close operation has scared a lot of people away from the Pocket Bushman, but it is one of the STRONGEST locking systems built today. Another feature that has "scared" customers away is its resemblance to the French "Douk-Douk" folding pocket knife, which has NO blade lock, as the Douk-Douk is a "friction-folder". The Pocket Bushman (2016 version) has all of its problems resolved and I highly recommend it for as one tough, sharp, reliable, large pocket folder. Lastly, this pocket knife is not for little kids. Probably the strongest and sturdiest folder money can buy, Very good quality and excellent fit and finish. Razor sharp right out of the package. Be careful when opening or closing the knife, strong spring cam lock can pinch/cut, but that shouldn't be a problem if used with some common sense safety. It is that bulletproof locking feature that makes this knife so strong and unique. Price can't be beat either.

I understand that there is a lot of negative criticism about the pocket Bushman. I do not have that opinion. I think the knife is absolutely a beast. For $25 find me a knife fit that size, that can do what I can do. So simplistic so tough. I love that it will only open on purpose and close on purpose. Not only a knife but this is a tool tool that can be used for a lot of activities. This isn't your mom's pocket knife you must be careful when handling it. I would totally recommend it and for those people who don't like it and for those people who don't like it well keep buying your $200 knives and collecting them and griping about cold still.
