This is a very good starter quad copter to learn basics of flight control in manual mode without breaking the bank. It holds well in slight winds and can take a beating from beginners. Get rid of the camera and prop guards for outside flights to get best flying time of above 9 minutes. Without headless mode and altitude hold, one can learn to control this quad copter using the basic joystick controls. It is fun to fly both indoors and outdoors. I crashed it into walls and other objects without damage. It is light enough not to hurt anyone by mistake. Downside is that wind gusts can carry it away. Always fly upwind so wind will fly it towards you.
