I bought this in hopes that it would help me out with the nightly ritual of sweeping the floor under my cage. There is nothing more delightful than walking around at night and stepping on bird seeds. My lovies have become masters of pulling in the food cup (even though it was clipped to the cage). As soon as I received this I put it onto the cage and they loved it. They love the fact that they can look out of the acrylic box. There is no more sharing a food cup. Both of my lovebirds fit well in the box and eat comfortably. This is a great product and I highly recommend it. I purchased the small one and it is great. There is a perch on the inside of the box and also a divider that makes them put the opened seeds on one side. You can now see exactly which of the many seeds is their favorite. I have been using it ever since and it is fantastic. Why didn't I get this before...It it a time saver. It is easy to clean and fill. Just hook it on and off, that's it! I have two cockatiels. At first they were very interested in their new feed container but were having trouble trying to figure out how to use it as would be expected. They went in on the perch but then decided that they didn't like using it and when trying to access their food they kept hitting against the shelf inside not understanding that they needed to feed over the top. Then they completely stopped trying and were getting frantic and hungry because I had removed all other sources of food. So I did some modifications. I put grippy tape (I actually used material tape bandaids) on the perch and some black electrical tape on the inside of the shelf that contained the food so they could see that it was solid and could no longer see their food through the perspex. Instantly they were happy to go in and out feeding happily. This feed container certainly does a great job of keeping the seed inside. It's the first time ever that I haven't had to sweep the floor at least 3 or more times a day. I am very happy with this product after changing a couple of things. I don't know if anyone has had this trouble or maybe my cockatiels are not as smart as some :)Read full review

This is an excellent bird feeder. Keeps the seeds inside surprisingly well. it's clear and allows you to view seed level. I have ordered before and will order another one just to keep on hand. The hooks are better than other bird feeders---these are coffee hooks that can be screwed into the plastic. It keeps the feeders very secure and easy to lift out.
