Replaced the stock front door speakers in 2009 Crown Vic with factory CD radio - direct fit and easy installation, sound a lot better than stock. The bass is good for the 5 x 7 speaker size - as long as you are realistic in your expectations, you should really enjoy these speakers. These speakers are a lot more efficient than the originals, so I have to have the fader almost all the way to the rear stock speakers to have the sound balanced, and now the rear speakers sound like crap compared to these. I am going to buy and install the matching TS-A6986R 6x9 Pioneers in the rear next to get better bass, even though I will have to cut the metal deck to upgrade from the 5 x 7 (6 x 8) stock rear speakers.

Okay the speakers are decent they sound good I wouldn't call them the best speakers but for the money I want to say excellent I pay $25 for the speakers and I installed them with the issue no problem make that perfectly you just have to cut off the other tabs for the 5x7 insulation or something else but other than that I'm happy with him

Installed to replace the stock speakers on my 2004 Tacoma. I have these on a Pioneer AVH-X491BHS head unit that produces great sound with the 13 band eq, bass booster and speaker level controls. Awesome highs and bass that vibrates the rear view mirror make these a very good purchase. These have no grills and are intended for behind door panels. Nice fit with only a small area on the mount that needed to be trimmed due to these being a little deeper than the stock ones.

Great deal. Quality can’t be beat for the price. Sounds good being pushed by the 25 watts per channel my head provides. I do believe the sound would be much more powerful if the speakers were powered to their full potential but that’s on me. Good job Pioneer for manufacturing a top notch quality product at a price everyone can afford! Highly recommended!!

These Pioneer TS-A6886R speakers were a great choice for use in replacing the Ford Premium sound 50W (4 ohm) two channel speakers on our 2010 Ford Focus SES. The Ford speakers from that time period tend to degrade early. The new speakers fit perfectly in the door cavity but make sure to tie the wires near the speaker to avoid the window from hitting them. The sound quality was slightly less than the dual channel Premium sound Ford OEM speakers but for the price we were very satisfied. These Pioneer 60W (4 ohm) speakers were easily driven by the original radio that came with the Ford premium sound package. The speaker bolt pattern matched well with the Ford 18808 speaker bolt pattern and the original screws also worked on them. We used Metra 72-5600 wiring harness adapters. Some reviews indicated the polarity of the wiring harness was reversed, so we took apart one door and tested the speaker and original speaker and original wiring receptacle. We confirmed that indeed the wiring harness on the Metra product was WRONG with the large spaded white wire going to the NEGATIVE pin on the receptacle. The positive pin is the pin next to the alignment ears on the receptacle. We reworked all the harnesses by cutting and swapping the wires and the speakers came to life! Now they produced GREAT sound rather than just good sound. We plan to use another four on our Ford Escape. The original Ford speakers came with a foam cushion where these do not but there are aftermarket kits that you can add to the speaker, if you so desire. Speakers come in a box of two (a pair). Highly recommend.Read full review
