Plugged into USB on Linux machine, started SimpleScan, clicked "scan" and the pages appeared very quickly. Removed the blank pages (SimpleScan scans both sides of every page; this was a two page one-sided document; so the back-sides appeared as blank pages) and saved a pdf file. With a 50 page one-sided document, you probably would want to use Xsane, where you can tell it to scan only one side, but Xsane is more cumbersome to use. For short documents, SimpleScan is so fast and easy that it is quicker to just delete the blank back-side pages instead of using Xsane.

Scans are good. The multi page feeder is not working well. Have to buy a new part. Software and driver setup were bad. Using a third party software now. The quality of the scans are excellent.

Worked right away with Ubuntu Linux Mint. Haven't gotten it to work yet with Gallium OS (a minimal Linux distro for Chromebooks). It is fast. Love the double-sided scans. For photos, I place them front-up, tell the scan software to scan the back (top side) to avoid the streaks from dust falling on the scan bar - works great. Even with sorting and loading, I can scan hundreds of photos per hour. The colors are very rich, albeit a bit on the dark side - easily fixed with post-scan processing. This scanner also seems to "see past" many dust particles - imperfections, surface texture, and dust on photos is much less evident on this scanner than on others I use. The feed mechanism rarely mis-feeds. Rock steady all the way. I do have a few items where 600 dpi is not high enough resolution, so I still use my 1200 dpi flatbed occasionally. All-in-all, I am shocked to own such a great scanner! I might actually get our huge 100+ year collection of family photos digitized!Read full review

Excellent Linux support, Simple Scan in linux. Opensuse 42.1 through 15 plug in play support. 30 pages per min Double sided scanning. Unexpectedly it also has color which works acceptably. USB works in Linux, SCIS may not.

Already had the same Fujitsu Scanner which worked well. Did not want to buy a new scanner as the budget would not allow. Price was great on a refurbished product.

This was a replacement for our old scanner. It works really well scanning papers and the papers not getting stuck like in our old scanner. Easy set up too!

Very satisfied with product. Had 2 scanners previously of same model. Used quite a bit over several years. This scanner works well and appears to be in excellent condition.

Came with all of the tarys and power supply unlike a great many of similar scanner. Had a bit of an issue with feeding multiple sheets at first but a good cleaning of the separation pad and rollers fixed it up.
