To tell the truth the design for the price it good but it seems to to lack in features all most to basic , the sound quality is fine but have had issues with it starting a disk from time to time seems like the carousel keeps turning and turning never stops I have to depower unit to reset ...Agtually may have to return it ...A little bummed ... :(

This item ha become intermittent as it only works part of the time. I'm watching and waiting for it to fail. When it does quit operation, that is performance beyond intermittency, I expect to submit a claim against the insurance which I bought at the time of purchase. I had one of this model new about 4 years ago that began to halt in play for a few seconds, then resume playing. Cleaning the lens did not help. Since I had a good remote, I bought this used one on ebay from a guy who had bought three at auction. It arrived not able to open or close disc drawer without some assistance from tilting it down and up, respectively. These failures on two units of relatively young age does not speak well for parts quality.
It's simple to use and the remote control allows repeat/shuffle/disk select and other features. I wish the remote would also turn off the machine, which must be done manually...but it's not a big deal when you have 5 disks that will play where the machine can run unattended for a long time before you have to think about turning it off.
