Thicker & heavier duty than the handles that come with the 2 cavity molds. They're rugged and made to last yet are also very smooth to open and close. As the instructions say, epoxy the handles on. They say after one use but I had one come loose on my first use. The wood handles never got more than slightly warm even after an hour into my casting session with a 6 cavity .44 mold. For the price you can't go wrong and they're made to last.

Well-made, beefy, built to last. However, be prepared to do some serious grinding if planning to use these on an RCBS mold. They're way too thick (several mm) and the inside edges need to be ground down so the mould can "float" and allow the halves to center and close properly. I don't have a milling machine, so I used a dremel tool to size them down. It took a while, and 3 sanding wheels to get them right. Works great now, and saved a ton of money vs. a set of "genuine RCBS" handles.

Purchased a custom made 2 cavity mold for my 12.7x44 Swedish rolling block rifle. The Lee handles fit the mold are make a nice combination. Far less expensive than some other makers handles. The mould handles are great, the 6 cavity 9mm mould ,not so much. The sprew plate wooden handle broke off the first time I tried to us it. The mounting for the lever is made of powdered metal and broke in half through the thinnest part. I made a new one from 1018 steel and it works perfect. I emailed others who warned me to order replacements so I can repair it WHEN it brakes again, not IF it brakes again. I did not order any cause the one I made is not going to brake again. I will buy another Lee 6 cavity mould but will make a replacement lever before trying to use the tool as it comes out of the box.
