Love the idea but don't really work for what is intended. Instr are not great and could not find any video on YouTube. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or its really just bad design. First problem wrong thread for rack that I have. Mine is metric and one included in package is standard. Second nut is to toll to fit in own case on one of the two. And you can't use regular nut because don't fit in the barrel. As the biggest disappointment after all the trouble fitting it in and locking it. You can still twist by hand and losen it up. Because nut seats right over barrel and enough fiction to unscrew. I like the idea but I think needs lots of improvement to make it work. But I think it can be done.
The nut you use to "lock in" the lock cylinder to the clamp is too big for the lock to work correctly. After i cut the clamp thread as the instructions stated, tried assembling everything together when the lock wouldn't lock. I took it all apart and put the nut in the chamber to ensure the lock works with it inside. It doesn't. So now i have 2 cut short threaded clamps and a useless roof rack lock.
