Great workout! This two pack has three great workouts: Jump Start Cardio is 41 minutes, Fat Burn Accelerator is 52 minutes, and my favorite, Full Throttle is 55 minutes of intense cardio. Wow! I love the longer length; most of the exercise DVDs that I have are about 30 minutes long and then I feel like I have to do two of them. I love the intensity of Billy Blanks--he give great encouragement and you do feel almost like he's right there pushing you on. Also the people in the DVD are in top shape, but they look like regular people (as opposed to the perfect Barbie types in many of these kinds of things.) He uses something called an "amplifier" which is a weighted pole or stick. You can order that from his company on-line or do without. He has students doing the moveS with it and without. I used an old walking stick/cane that I had at home. This felt like it helped me keep my arms in line correctly to do the moves (and then I didn't have to buy anything else.) At some points, he shortens the length of the amplifier--for those sections I used some light hand weights to get the same workout. Excellent for working arms and legs, and my abs/core are totally tired at the end as well. Also, I would greatly recommend this one to men as well since it does not require any dancing moves and you do not have to be super flexible to do it. I have been working out with Billy Blanks for over 12 years and this is one of his BEST series yet. The addition of the AMPED bar is amazing and you don't even need to get one, just use a lighter weight. This is NOT for the beginner, as it is fast paced and you will sweat and huff and puff even if you are an advanced exerciser. If you like Taebo, you will love his AMPED series. How do I know, I am a health and fitness consultant and I try and review hundreds of workout DVDs every year!
I love the workout, I decided to but it out because I needed a new cardio work out as i already do tae bo. I did not get the amp bar with it but the work out is intense and easy to follow. When you finish you feel energised. Highly recommended!
I love Billy Blanks workouts i've been doing them for years. This one however requires a bar of some sort that i did not have. You can still do the workout without it, its just a bit confusing and you feel almost out of sorts. Also this workout is a bit slow, I personally like a continuous fast workout. This one drags on too much with talking and showing the moves.
Awesome workout!! Billy always delivers results. So if your looking for a great workout, Taebo is the way to go.
