This is my first computerized sewing machine, and it's easy as pie to get used to. It's an embroidery machine as well as doing all else manner of stitching. I bought it for the versatile stitches, not so much for embroidery, but the future is wide open and who knows? I may get into it as time goes on. I'm a studio quilter and I also make garments and tote bags, etc. The machine has a walking foot which is super for me, as the sewing I do seams (ha!) to be all over the place, up and down. There's a needle threader built in which for these aging eyes is a godsend. I'm now looking for a table for it - one that rises up for flat work, making a large flat work surface that flush with the machine working area. Soon come.

The Pfaff 7570 is the best built home sewing machine ever made. The IDT or built in walking foot sets it into a much higher category than any other machine. After sewing on a Pfaff, I could never go back to any other machine. The IDT helps pull the top layer of fabric through at the same rate of speed as the bottom layer giving you evenly matched plaids, both ends of the fabric matching at the bottom, and more. The buttonhole guide helps pull the buttonholes over bumps and ensures even buttonholes every time. So many other features like machine embroidery, programmable stitches, even create your own machinestitches if you want! The 7500 series machines is ithe last set of the Pfaff models built in their factoriy in Germany. After the 7500 series, Pfaff was acquired by Viking, produced elsewhere, and in my opinion never as well built as this one. You will never regret purchasing a Pfaff 7570.Read full review

This machine has been around awhile but was way ahead of its time. It has the famous dual feed foot, and many machines have tried to incorporate this design but none are as easy to use and accurate as the Pfaff dual feed. The pop-on/off feet are made to use the dual feed unlike other brands which may have as few as 2 feet that work with their systems. It has 9 mm stitches that are gorgeous. If you want a different stitch you can put one into the machine with the creative designer or you can use the software and design and send one, or you can export one from the machine, alter it, and then reinput it. These have some of the best if not THE best tension and straight stitch you will ever find. They sew through thick fabric, thin fabric, anything...needing very little adjustment. They are becoming dated, and I have never tried embroidery on one having machines that are much newer. Also the software needs windows xp or an older operating system than today so you may or may not be able to manage it. They have extensive libraries of cards that do work however. I would buy this as an all round easy to transport (26 lbs so not a real lightweight) sewing machine. the only drawback for me is that it does not have a start/stop button. Otherwise I only wish they still made these. I would be out getting a new one.Read full review

This machine is self threading. You can't imagine how useful this feature is until you've used it! (Easy on the bifocals!) It sews in every direction, forwards, backwards, sideways, and diagonally, in addition to having over 200 built in stitch designs and the ability to design your own stitch patterns. The walking foot really helps keep the layers together, and it gives a warning when the bobbin thread is close to running out. The presser feet are very useful and easy to interchange. I recommend purchasing the 1/4" quilting foot. It makes nice button holes too! Really my only complaint is that the bobbins hold a little less thread than my old machine did, but they are easier to fill than my old machine was too, so maybe even that evens out.
I love the Pfaff 7500 Series sewing machines. The 7570 is especially nice as it is the one that also has embroidery capability. The machine has the Dual Feed (walking foot) built in which feeds fabric evenly with no slipppage. Layers are no problem. It's great for Quilters and Crafters as well as Dressmakers. There are more stitches than probably anyone will ever have a use for. German Engineering is hard to beat, and this series is the last series of machines actually made in Germany. Now the production/assembly end has been moved to the Chezh Republic. Due to the fast this is the last one actually made in Germany it is well on the way to becomming a collector's item as well as just an all around great machine.
