Excellent Results
I used this product for the first time just as we were leaving on vacation. Our pond was showing some signs of algae taking over on the rocks, with slight clouding of the water. When we returned 8 days later, the water was as clear as it has been in months and the algae was all but gone.

Didn't work for me
These pond blocks were supposed to remove algae. My pond isn't green but does have algae growing on bottom and sides. After I removed all my water plants, I put in two blocks (recommended amount) After two weeks … no change. I put in one more and after another week. nothing changed. Finally I put the 4th one in the basin on the waterfall. It didn't even kill the algae on it. Another week later I returned the plants back to the pond and they are still flourishing.

This stuff works SO MUCH BETTER than the liquid
The only problem is that it is a little difficult to break off a piece. We have a very small fountain that we use it in (maybe 2-3 gallons). The liquid has to be put in almost daily; just a piece of this block lasts a couple of weeks in the Arizona heat. And it doesn't seem to bother any of the birds that might drink from the fountain. Great stuff!
