The most compact tripod I have every used. It is not the lightest on the market, but the storage size was most important to me and this beats any other tripod on the market now with out question. The ball head is good and I love the quick release. however if you want to use it for panning shots for panoramas or video, you might consider getting another head that would be more suitable. You could either get the universal plate from PD, or just buy another plate (peak design or arca swiss) to mount on the head and used the quick release. While the standard mount does support arca swiss plates, if it is the longer version then it will not fit.

Absolutely wonderfully designed tripod. Can’t wait to use it , but the features and included items make this a must for photographers.

I'm pleased with this tripod now that I've become used to using it. Not having to bring along a ball head is nice, and the included ball head on this unit works much better than I anticipated. I shoot a lot of Real Estate and use a Canon 5d Mark IV with a Canon 11-24 lens. This is a heavy set up and the PD tripod is handling it just fine. The unit is lighter than other comparable models and folds down very compact. It also sets up and breaks down in record time. My only disappointment was the cost. It should be at least $100 less.

When they say Peak Design, they're not kidding. Best travel tripod I've ever had. The aluminum model is lighter than my old carbon fiber travel tripod.
