Great clubs, great build quality, great deal all round, you will not be disappointed!
All 3 wedges play really well. Lob wedge is easy to hit for short range, sand wedge was easy from 2 types of sand eg soft and some more compact sand and the gap wegde was accurate for my range of 60-85 metres which previously I was trying a lob wedge and overhitting, this gap wedge dialled it in. Great grips, soft feel but a bit sticky that does not allow slip. The overall build quality seems quite high with a good finish level. Very happy with the clubs, especially the degree of difference between the 3 as I now feel I have all options covered from very close to green, approach, sand and that harder, less than 100m shot. A leap of faith to buy golf clubs on-line but a decision I am very happy with, Great clubs, great deal all round.
The wedges have a poor balance point they need to Center the weight and not have so much on the toe sometimes the club can be hard to swing and get through the ball. reduce the weight of the entire club and I think you would have a better product.
These heads are heavier than my other wedges. They fly a bit farther also, so I'm still getting used to them after two rounds. I've had some good shots but I still need to get used to swinging a bit easier and letting gravity do most of the work coming down, since I've been a bit long with my chipping and approach shots. I suspect I'll like them better after I adjust my swing to them. Overall I think they"re a tremendous value for the 3-wedge set.
I have never had a lofted wedge outside of the normal clubs that come in a set, and these make it so much easier to hit around the greens! I can swing away with my 56°, and the ball goes straight up! It was too hard to control distance with my 48° AP1 W.
I did regrip these with Tour Velvet Golf Pride grips, and that makes this wedge pretty much perfect in my book. Love it!
These wedges truly are bang for your buck, I mean where else would pickup a wedge set for a $100 delivered. Whilst they aren't anything fancy such as those espoused by the big name OEMS, they are perfectly adequate for handicappers +9 or higher. They have a solid feel and the ball flight and subsequent roll are pretty good.
